Nortec Química lists on the Stock Exchange

Pharmaceutical company recorded revenue of $ 92 million in 2012.

The largest manufacturer of pharmaceutical active ingredients in Latin America for the pharmaceutical industry, Nortec Química started on Tuesday (28) its listing in the small and medium business segment of the São Paulo Stock Exchange, called the Bovespa Mais. “Listing on the Bovespa Mais is part of the companies’ maturation stage. In this segment, companies can access capital gradually, without the need for a public offering at the beginning, and it is already on the radar of major investors and with the visibility gains the possibility of reducing capital costs,” said the chief operating officer of BM&FBovespa, Cícero Vieira, during the listing ceremony, held at the São Paulo Stock Exchange headquarters.

Nortec Química is the fourth company to join Bovespa Mais. The previous ones were Nutriplant, Desenvix and Senior Solution. “We are starting another stage in Nortec’s success history, and we are optimistic about the growth potential of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries that are experiencing a very promising moment in Brazil,” said Nortec Química CEO Nicolau Saucer Lage. In 2012, the company registered revenues of R$ 92 million and investments of R$ 50 million, mainly in research and development. Nortec has 230 employees and serves 250 pharmaceutical and healthcare customers.
